See Which Companies Made the Final Cut to Pitch Investors at IMPACT 2016
The major mid-atlantic capital investment conference IMPACT will kick off in just four weeks in Philadelphia, bringing together more than a thousand players from the venture capital, private equity and entrepreneurship communities for the day-and-a-half conference.
IMPACT, run by Philadelphia Alliance for Capital Technologies, or PACT, gives up and coming companies the chance to present their stories and make a case for capital investments at the conference on Nov. 29 and Nov. 30 at the Sheraton Downtown Philadelphia and Crystal Tea Room, while also receiving input and direction from experts in the field.
The final pool of 45 companies — divided into three categories: early-stage, health care and technology — was narrowed down from more than 165 applicants by a selection committee. They’ll compete for a chance to enter IMPACT’s “Lions Den,” a Shark Tank-style pitch competition that will allow select startups to present their companies to five “lions” to secure funding. The panel this year features cloud company Actua’s CEO and Board Chairman Walter Buckley; Devon Hill Capital Partners founder and managing partner Dr. Robert Corrato; private equity firm Princeton Biopharma Capital Partners’ Managing Director Michael Wells; cloud services company Evolve IP’s co-founder and CEO Thomas Gravina and serial entrepreneur Sashi Reddi.
