McKesson teams up with Montco health analytics firm
Health care services and information technology giant McKesson Corp. is teaming up with a Montgomery County company to help health insurers quickly design and scale complex bundled payment models — and provide accurate payments to health care providers.
Financial terms of deal between McKesson’s (NYSE: MCK) health solutions division and HealthQX of King of Prussia, Pa., were not disclosed.
HealthQX provides value-based payment analytic software for health plans and providers. Its analytics platform, called ClarityQx, can be used to design, implement and monitor the on-going performance of payment models such as episodic, bundled or accountable care arrangements.
Under the partnership, announced Wednesday morning during the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s annual National Payment Innovation Summit in Memphis, the two companies will jointly market products to their respective customer and coordinate consulting and service offerings.
