Clutch Adds New CFO as Client Portfolio Doubles in Less Than Two Years
Clutch names Mark S. Pollock CFO to help shape its financial future and manage its rapid growth.
How does a business know when to hire a CFO? When you’ve doubled your client base in less than two years, it’s time. That’s why Clutch, a pioneering consumer management solutions provider, recently brought on Mark S. Pollock as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.
Pollock, who brings more than 30 years of financial leadership experience, is particularly skilled in fiscal management of rapid growth organizations like Clutch. The company, whose solution uses transactional and behavioral data to give retailers insight on customers, has added 56 enterprise clients in two years and has increased its revenue by a 260 percent compound annual growth rate since its 2012 inception. Clutch’s growth warranted the expertise of a CFO like Pollock.
“Adding a CFO allows us to serve more clients and tackle their biggest challenges,” explained Ned Moore, Co-Founder and CEO of Clutch. “Given our growth trajectory, Clutch needs an executive with Mark’s expertise to define our financial future. He can navigate the financial complexities of added contracts and cash management, while implementing management initiatives that will help us as we grow.”
Prior to joining Clutch, Pollock spent three years with MNG Direct, a data-driven marketing company focused on the pharmaceutical industry. Following the sale of MNG Direct, moving to Clutch was a natural transition for Pollock, whose specific expertise centers on organizational operations, risk management, strategic planning, merger and acquisition, and capital raising. He has worked for an array of start-up, growth, and turnaround companies like Portico – which was acquired by McKesson – Avanceon, and Vertical Alliance. His experience with such diverse companies and industries make him a valuable addition to Clutch, whose clients also participate in a variety of markets.
“Clutch is transforming how leading brands are identifying, understanding, and motivating their customers,” said Pollock. “I aim to turn that focus inward as well and establish a strong financial infrastructure from which our business can continue to grow.”
Pollock is an alumnus of Temple University and Drexel University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a MBA in Finance, respectively.
