ROAR for Good, Dreamit, BioBots, RevZilla featured on CNBC
“Startups are thriving in the City of Brotherly Love.”
The final segment in CNBC’s Nightly Business Report dedicated six minutes to recapping the hustlin’, bustlin’ Philly tech scene.
First up in the dispatch from reporter Kate Rogers was ROAR for Good CEO Yasmine Mustafa, who spoke about the company’s flagship Athena product. Mustafa herself showcased how the wearable tech device designed for women’s personal safety is able to sound off a powerful alarm when pressing a button for three seconds, as well as relay a silent alarm complete with GPS coordinates.
Dreamit, the Philly-based accelerator program from which ROAR graduated back in 2015, also got a mention in the feature, as did BioBots with its cool bioprinters and RevZilla with its YouTube-fueled ecommerce success.
